Join us on Saturday October 19th for a joint event with the Bluegrass Stars chapter. For the Cincinnati section, our day will start with a drive to our first destination, Old Friends Farm in Georgetown KY. The Bluegrass Stars section will meet up with us at the farm. We toured this farm years ago during one of our bourbon tour long weekends. It’s a beautiful location and we will have a guided tour of the farm . The tour will give us an opportunity to meet quite a few of the retired thoroughbred race horses. Old Friends Farm is an amazing organization that saves retired race horses from basically being relegated to a hard/miserable life after the financial and physical performances for their owners - Last time, the stories told about some of the horses and where they were rescued from were eye opening. The farm personnel (many are volunteers!) do amazing work for these horses so they can live out the retirement they deserve. After the farm tour we will proceed to our lunch venue, Fava’s Restaurant. It has been family owned since 1910 and is located in historic downtown Georgetown. For those interested in drinking responsibly, they do serve cans of beer and wine, they do not have a full bar.

   • Cincinnati section - Northern Kentucky meet up:

     1. 10:00 a.m. - Depart Kroger Fuel station parking lot in Ft Mitchel KY - 2150 Dixie Hwy, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017 (across highway from Ft. Mitchel Mercedes Benz)

   • Bluegrass Stars meet up:

     1. No caravan - meet up at the farm - arrive no later than 11:45

2. Noon. - Tour old Friends Farm, 1841 Paynes Depot Rd, Georgetown, KY 40324

3. 1:10 p.m. - depart Old Friends Farm for lunch
